Nigerian Journal of Educational Leadership and Management (NJELM)

The Nigerian Journal of Educational Leadership and Management (NJELM) is the official journal of the Department of Educational Management, Faculty of Education, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT). It is a peer-reviewed scholarly publication dedicated to promoting research, theory, and practice in educational leadership, administration, and management. NJELM provides a reputable platform for scholars, researchers, graduate students, and practitioners to disseminate high-quality research findings, theoretical explorations, case studies, and policy papers. The journal particularly encourages contributions that bridge the gap between research and practice, with relevance to the Nigerian education system as well as the global academic community.

Scope of the Journal
The journal publishes original and innovative works in, but not limited to, the following areas:
Educational leadership and administration
Educational policy and planning
Governance and decision-making in education
School improvement and quality assurance
Human resource management in education
Curriculum leadership and innovation
Higher education management
Comparative and international perspectives on educational leadership
Community engagement, ethics, and values in education
Publication Frequency
NJELM is published twice a year (two issues annually, in June and December) and accepts manuscripts on a rolling basis throughout the year.
Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using standard similarity detection software. Submissions with high similarity indices or evidence of academic dishonesty are automatically rejected. The journal upholds strict ethical standards to maintain originality and academic integrity.

Peer Review Process
NJELM operates a double-blind peer review system. Every submitted manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers. The initial review and feedback process typically takes two weeks, after which authors are notified of the editorial decision and required revisions, if any.

Target Audience
The journal is designed to serve academics, policymakers, educational administrators, postgraduate students, professional associations, and stakeholders committed to advancing educational leadership and management.

Indexing and Visibility
NJELM is committed to ensuring wide scholarly visibility and global accessibility. Articles published in the journal are made available on Google Scholar, Academia.edu, and ResearchGate, where they can be easily discovered, cited, and shared by the international academic community. Efforts are ongoing to index the journal in additional reputable academic databases to further enhance its scholarly impact.
